Pojechaliśmy na wymianę międzynarodową do Barcelony.

My, licealiści z 3 klasy, właśnie wróciliśmy z trzeciej w historii naszego liceum, pięciodniowej wymiany ze szkołą Bon Soleil w Barcelonie Od poniedziałku 15.06 do piątku 19.06 mieszkaliśmy u rodzin w pięknej i klimatycznej dzielnicy Castelldefels, położonej nad samym morzem.

Nasz plan był bogaty w przeróżne atrakcje i miejsca, od zwiedzania architektury Barcelony (Paseo de Gracia Avenue, the Gothic Quarter, El Born, La Ciudadela), przez plaże w Castelldefels, po małe, urokliwe miasteczko Sitges. Nie zabrakło też adrenaliny w formie aktywności fizycznych – zorganizowaliśmy mecz piłki nożnej oraz pływaliśmy na SUP-ach i pokonaliśmy wodny tor przeszkód Wibit w Canal Olympic.

Pomimo tylu rozrywek, równocześnie wspólnie pracowaliśmy nad CAS Project. Jest to kluczowy element programu IB, w którym uczniowie podejmują się długoterminowego, zespołowego przedsięwzięcia trwającego co najmniej miesiąc. Wymaga on połączenia przynajmniej jednego z trzech obszarów CAS. Jest on istotną odskocznią od nauki akademickiej.

Tak więc pobyt w Hiszpanii był dla nas owocny zarówno pod względem towarzyskim i rozrywkowym, jak i naukowym. Wymianę uważamy za idealne korzystanie z letniego klimatu i świetne wspomnienia z końcówki pierwszego roku programu IB DP.

We, the students of Grade 3, have just returned from the third five-day exchange in the history of our high school with Bon Soleil School in Barcelona. From Monday, 15.06, to Friday, 19.06, we stayed with host families in the beautiful and charming district of Castelldefels, located right by the sea.

Our schedule was packed with a variety of attractions and places, from exploring the architecture of Barcelona (Paseo de Gracia Avenue, the Gothic Quarter, El Born, La Ciudadela), through the beaches of Castelldefels, to the small and picturesque town of Sitges. There was also no shortage of adrenaline-filled physical activities – we organized a football match, went paddleboarding on SUPs, and completed the Wibit inflatable water obstacle course at Canal Olympic.

Despite all these activities, we were also working together on our CAS Project. It is a key element of the IB programme, in which students undertake a long-term group project lasting at least one month. It requires the integration of at least one of the three CAS strands. It is an important break from academic learning.

Therefore, our stay in Spain was fruitful for us both socially and recreationally, as well as academically. We consider the exchange to have been a perfect way to enjoy the summer atmosphere and create wonderful memories at the end of the first year of the IB DP programme.
